April 30th, 2023, the members of Maysville Baptist Church gathered around my wife and I in prayer commissioning us as Refresh-Restore Ministries. Refresh-Restore Ministries is a non-profit organization overseen by our local church. The desire of the ministry is to encourage the converted, evangelizing the unconverted, and edify the church. Our primary means to bring about this end is through the itinerate preaching of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ while also being available to minister to the needs of those whose needs are often overlooked - pastors. Over the last fourteen years I had the privilege of pastoring, but in December of 2022 God was directing me into full-time vocational evangelism. While praying and seeking counsel from my pastor, Shane Roberson of Maysville Baptist Church in Maysville, GA, it became apparent that God was not only calling me into vocational evangelism but to be an encouragement and supporter of local church pastors who are dealing with various needs in differing contexts.

Acts 11:23 - Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

Just as the church at Antioch had sent a Barnabas, we want to come alongside “them” as an encouragement knowing that there are so many pastors who are worn down and bowing out of the ministry. I am certain you are familiar with the statistics and the grim reality recent studies have painted for our present and our future. You may even know someone in ministry who may be represented in the bleak analysis we read about in each released study. God has given me a burden to encourage these fellow laborers in the Gospel knowing that the fields are ready for harvest, but laborers are needed (John 4:35). Will you pray for Refresh-Restore Ministries? And will you pray about partnering with us as we seek to be a Barnabas for pastors who are in need? Your prayer and financial support will be used to assist pastors and help the spread of the Gospel.
