The journey of renovating Clearview Baptist Church in Cornelia, GA.
Established in 1947, Clearview Baptist Church has served as a pillar of hope for its community, offering spiritual guidance, fellowship, and the teachings of the Gospel across generations. Yet, with the passage of time and unexpected challenges, the church now faces a period of necessary revitalization. On June 2nd, following a comprehensive meeting focused on the church's past, present, and future prospects, Clearview Baptist Church, led by Pastor Johnny Johnson, unanimously decided to partner with Refresh-Restore Ministries and begin the journey toward revitalization.
To be clear, church revitalization requires a renewed understanding of purpose and mission. It must be entered into with humility and grace. There must be a retooling of the skills and gifts present. The heart must be more focused on the community "out there" rather than the comforts "in here". The Word of God is the final authority. And a rich commitment to prayer is paramount. I've heard Mark Clifton say, "Only God can revitalize a church", and he's exactly right. One of the most awe-inspiring realities of the early stages of this journey is their commitment to doing what needs to be done. The church family of Clearview Baptist Church has taken the hard first-steps toward health.

With this in mind, there are significant needs. These range from structural repairs to the modernization of facilities, highlighting various essential areas that need attention to guarantee the church's health and service to future generations. However, our vision extends beyond merely refurbishing the building. We envisage a rejuvenated center of community life, a place where individuals from across the area unite in worship, discipleship, and service to the Lord. There will be an itemized list provided in future updates as we continue to access the physical structure needs of Clearview.
In this update, I aim to establish a baseline by showing you photos of the facilities' current condition.
