In this update: Team Member | Partnership | Mission Support

Next week, I am eager to share further details about the work God is doing through our efforts at Clearview Baptist Church. In the meantime, I think it's essential to discuss some of the uplifting progress we're excited about at Refresh-Restore Ministries.

Please Welcome Our Newest Team Member

The most valuable advice I received when starting Refresh-Restore Ministries came from a close friend who remarked, "I know God will use you, but you can't do this alone." Indeed, the goals of Refresh-Restore Ministries cannot be achieved without the support of others. And with that, it is my pleasure to announce Paul Knowlton as the Project Manager for Refresh-Restore Ministries.

We are grateful and eager to witness how God will guide Paul Knowlton in his volunteer position at Refresh-Restore Ministries. He is tasked with overseeing the construction requirements for churches within the Revitalization Pathway. Additionally, he will serve as a strategic partner addressing workflow needs and as a dedicated team member upholding the ministry through prayer. Will you join us in welcoming Paul Knowlton to the team!

Our Partnership with Tithe.ly

In May, it came to our attention that the giving platform used by Refresh-Restore Ministries for online donations was supporting causes inconsistent with biblical principles. This prompted us to seek a new partner. Our commitment is to serve the local church and adhere to biblical authority. Following extensive discussions, we have formed a partnership with Tithe.ly. We look forward to enhancing the donation process and collaborating with an organization that strives to honor God. Our collaboration is going to provide our supporters with resources created for kingdom advancement.

Mission Support

With a new ministry, changing seasons, and new growth - we want to provide any information that will show who we are. We also recognize the importance of speaking to churches, individuals, and other groups about the ministry. We would love to share our ministry presentation with you. Please visit Calendar | Refresh-Restore (refreshrestore.org) and let's schedule something soon as we seek to raise support to fulfill the Great Commission.

- How things are going in evangelism.

As an itinerant evangelist, I've had the honor of sharing the Gospel across more than forty churches since responding to God's call in 2023. My fifteen years of pastoral experience enrich my joy in spreading the "good news" within the church community via revivals, conferences, wild game dinners, harvest days, pulpit supply, and various training sessions.

- The pathway to revitalization.

We are actively involved in church revitalization partnerships. While we can currently only fully partner with one church at a time due to staffing and financial constraints, we can correspond with multiple churches to offer assistance and guidance. We commenced a full partnership with Clearview Baptist Church in Cornelia, GA, on June 2nd, witnessing signs of God's work along the revitalization journey they are embarking on. This pathway provides diagnostics, vision, training, structure, and resources from a biblical perspective.

- Some pastors and ministry leaders need encouragement.

Our desire is to be a Barnabas for those who are serving the church with their all. Consider Acts 11:23, Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. Just as the church at Antioch sent Barnabas, we want to come alongside “them” as an encouragement knowing that there are so many pastors who are worn down and bowing out of the ministry.

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. - Acts 11:23

Pastor Tom Kennedy of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church in Nahunta, GA shared these words about the ministry. "I read somewhere that 1,700 Pastors will leave the ministry each week. I don't know if that's accurate, but I can tell you that most every pastor will think about leaving the ministry sometime during the week and many of them will. The ministry of a pastor is a calling to serve, pray, and lead people who many times don't want it. Sadly, this leads to discouragement, depression, and loneliness. Pastors aren't superheroes and we aren't immune to the weight of hurt. Just as much as those who sit in pews need refreshment and encouragement, the ones who stand in pulpits need refreshment. Zach Watson has been a friend in lonely times, an encouragement in dark times, an ally when it seemed as if there wasn't one. Zach has played the role of a Barnabas and helped me more than I could ever describe. Whether it has been private council, pulpit supply, evangelism training, or simply answering the phone... Zach has been a refreshment to my life. I'm happy to recommend him and the ministry that God has placed him into all of my fellow pastors."
